Representative Cathy McMorris Rodgers was chosen, inexplicably, to give the Republican reply to the President's State of the Union Speech. Certainly, it's always a challenge to craft a reply in minutes but it's been done before - a lot better than what we can from Rodgers - a nice person but not up to the job, and, perhaps the speechwriters are partly to blame. Here are a number of better replies that were produced in not much more time than it took Rodgers to put together her speech.

Then there was Senator RAND PAUL who explains how 'too much government' is hurting us and the President's failure.

Perhaps the most comprehensive and best response came from Commentator Judge Jenine Pirro 2-2-14 on Fox. We don't have that transcript yet but here's a beforee-the-fact premise. And, looks like Pirro got things pretty much correct in her direct challenge to the President
